What it does

Specs turns where you look into a control signal. Electrodes built discreetly into the nose pads and temple tips read subtle eye-movement signals, fused with a motion sensor that tracks head position, to determine where you're looking.

A touch-sensitive strip on the temple arm lets you confirm an action deliberately, so casual glances never trigger a click. Gaze-based control feeds into the same Router and Relay ecosystem as the rest of the Ursa lineup.

How it works

  • Electrooculography (EOG) electrodes in the nose pads and temple tips read the electrical signal generated by eye movement — no lens, no image sensor, no picture of you or your surroundings is ever formed.
  • A motion sensor in the frame tracks head position and fuses with the EOG signal, since where you're looking is a function of both eye and head movement.
  • A capacitive touch strip on one temple arm is the deliberate confirm gesture — gaze estimates intent, touch commits it, so nothing fires from a casual glance.
  • Gaze events are emitted into the shared Relay pipeline, alongside switch and voice input, rather than as a separate, incompatible control surface.
